Description

Design & Durability

The Honor X9d features a slim and modern design, measuring just 7.8mm thick and weighing 193g. It uses a glass front with a plastic frame and back, keeping the device lightweight. Durability is a major highlight this phone is IP68/IP69K certified, making it resistant to dust, high-pressure water jets, and submersion up to 6 meters. It is also drop-resistant up to 2.5 meters, making it one of the toughest smartphones in its segment. Dual Nano-SIM support is included.

Display

The Honor X9d comes with a stunning 6.79-inch AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and support for 1 billion colors. It features HDR support, ultra-high 3840Hz PWM dimming, and exceptional brightness levels 800 nits typical, 1800 nits in HBM, and a peak brightness reaching up to 6000 nits. The 1200 × 2640 resolution ensures sharp visuals with excellent clarity, while aluminosilicate glass provides added protection.

Performance

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm process. The octa-core CPU with Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores, paired with the Adreno 810 GPU, delivers smooth everyday performance, efficient multitasking, and stable gaming performance. The phone is available with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, though there is no microSD card slot.

Software

The Honor X9d runs on Android 15 with Magic OS 9, offering a smooth, refined interface with useful customization options, enhanced privacy controls, and improved system efficiency.

Cameras

The phone features a 108MP main camera with OIS, delivering sharp images with good dynamic range and reliable low-light performance. It is paired with a 5MP ultrawide camera for capturing wider scenes. Camera features include HDR, panorama, and LED flash. Video recording supports up to 4K at 30fps with gyro-EIS.
On the front, a 16MP selfie camera handles selfies and video calls, supporting 1080p video recording.

Audio

The Honor X9d comes with stereo speakers, delivering balanced and immersive sound. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, so users will need wireless or USB-C audio accessories.

Connectivity

Connectivity options are extensive, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD and aptX Adaptive, NFC, and USB Type-C with OTG support. Global positioning systems supported include GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS.

The Honor X9d packs a massive 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery, delivering excellent endurance for heavy users. It supports 66W fast wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to power other devices when needed.
